We celebrated Chinese New Year eve by having a family dinner and making a cake. We have no clue why you make a cake, but who are we to argue with years and years of ancient customs! We had heard there would be tons of fireworks, but WHOA! Non-stop fireworks, literally right outside our windows, until 2am in the morning. Pretty cool, but can get pretty old by 12am! Here's a pic of our beautiful cake. Yes, that's a rabbit for the 'year of the rabbit'. Plus, we are stupid Americans and misspelled Happy New Year in Chinese. Too late!
